Wayne Beaumier is representing Rotary Zone 21b. Wayne has worked for Standard Safety Equipment Company, a manufacture of reusable chemical clothing for over 25 years. As Vice President of Sales, he is responsible for sales, marketing, and distribution worldwide. His main focus is on the refineries and chemical plants that use HF acid. Wayne also serves the Boy Scouts of America as a Scout Master for SHAC area, Troop #939. His oldest son is an Eagle Scout and the other two are well on their way. In addition, he serves his local Little League program as a Staff Umpire for Texas District #16.. Wayne is the 2009-2010 Past President of his Rotary club, Bear Creek Copperfield Rotary Club. (Presidential Citation recipient.) He has also received the Distinguished Service Citation and Community Service Award from Rotary Texas District #5890. He is currently serving his second term as Assistant Governor and he is also a Paul Harris Fellow. He currently serves his Rotary club as Flag Chairman and with Fundraising. Wayne is an active volunteer for Disaster Aid USA, where he has trained as a DART and also serves the Houston, Texas area as a DAUSA Ambassador. Wayne and his wife, Michelle, have been married for over five years and have four children. Wayne feels that now that the kids are getting older it will be easier to spend time oversees helping with Disaster AID USA. Being a Rotarian and knowing that the efforts and money are well spent by fellow Rotarians makes this a great Rotary project to get behind. |

SERVICE PROJECT Rotarian Milton Moorer will be leading a team of volunteers this weekend (Saturday, December 9, 2017) to pick up litter along a 2-mile stretch of State Highway 7 West (Airport Highway). Volunteers need to dress appropriately for the weather and task of picking up litter in the weeds and in the ditch. Work Gloves are recommended. With the recent rain, some areas will be wet, so appropriate footwear (boots) is strongly recommended. Safety vests and trash bags will be provided. Meet at the TxDOT Adopt-A-Highway Sign at SH 7 @ West Loop 224. The club will purchase breakfast for all volunteers afterward. |
